  • Kids and faith

As a parent one of the hardest thing to do with children is to impart your faith.  Not in a way that simply says we are a Christian family, but in a living breathing way that gives children a glimpse of their eternity and own need for a savior.

Over the years I have done lots of things to try and expose my children to authentic Christianity.

We have been on mission trips, done community festivals, raised money for various charities, door knocked, done random and planned acts of kindnesses,  been involved in regular prayer meetings, sponsored children, bought fair trade, encouraged to have their 'own' devotions and have tried to 'keep it real' rather than just God-speak.

When you think of authentic Christianity what comes to your mind?

What kinds of things would you encourage friends/family your own children to do in order to keep it real?

this is a good point, it is EXACTLY what I have been struggling with as a Christian mom. For a long time my mom has always made it clear God exist. That He is someone greater than us. But I never understood until much later in life.

However, it is my desire to praise God and give children the  way to God, to have Christian home and give them memories to fall back on whenever they find themselves falling donw on their knees in trials. My only way of doing this step by step is taking one day at a time. Praying everyday as I could remember to turn to God.

    Good post.
